Minutes from December 4th

We are making a $50 dollar donation to Seaside Church for their generosity.  They have let us use their facility without charge for several years.  This money will be sent with a thank you card signed by all the girls who helped out with the Cookie-A-Thon.

During the January overnight, we will be making two out of soap, scrubs, bath gel, or bath salts.  We will also have a "My Sister's Closet", from which all the proceeds will go to Cluster and the leftover clothes will be donated.  The movie that we'll watch that night is "Troop Beverly Hills".  We'll do facials and yoga.  For dinner we'll be having pizza and watermelon.  Then we will make s'mores.

Here is the event's general plan and who is in charge of each part:

Saturday, January 26th (Troop 1365)
6:00 Check-In/Stow gear/be at FBH
6:00 - 6:30 Dinner/My Sister's Closet (Stephanie)
6:30 - 7:00 Soap Making (Tracy/Katie Burgett, Pryia)
7:00 - 7:30 Facials
7:30 - 8:30 Yoga (Lauren)
8:30 - 10:00 Movie and S'mores (Chelsey)
10:00 - 10:15 Clean-up/Return to Cabin 1/Lights out?

Sunday, January 27th (Chelsey)
Breakfast
Clean-up/Pack-up
9:00 - 12:00 Archery

This schedule will mostly likely be rearanged, but gives the general idea for the event.  For breakfast we'll be having bagels, cream cheese, and clementines.  If your Troop would like to have a snack during archery, you must bring it your self.  Archery will be 3 hours long, since we're going to earn the Archery IP.  Please R.S.V.P. to Tracy or Katie by January 11th.  It's first come, first dibs.

In February we will be hosting "A World of Understanding".  Each troop will chose a country.  They will need to bring a main dish from that country, wear clothes from that country, and do a short presentation on the country.  Cluster will provide salad, desert, and drinks.  We are going to try and get a Peace Corp Volunteer and a foreign exchange student to come and present.  Flyers will be sent out with R.S.V.P. information on them.

There is another Girl Planning Board Meeting on Wednesday, December 11th.  Then we will go over January updates, the February event, assess the Cookie-A-Thon and the Dancercise Workshop, and discuss making our programs simpler.
